Live Through Your Liver began as an IB personal project focused on understanding the growing impact of metabolic liver disease in the RGV. What started with creating simple educational materials quickly grew into a broader effort to make liver-health information clearer, more accessible, and more relevant to the people around us. As we spoke with families, community members, and healthcare professionals, we saw how much a lack of health literacy shapes outcomes in our region. That realization pushed us to continue the work—expanding awareness, strengthening education, and building a space where our community can better understand and protect its health.
